Dripping Springs proclaims itself to be the “Wedding Capital of Texas.” In fact, there are over 35 wedding venues nearby. The small town lies only a few miles west of Austin. Despite its close proximity to the big city, the area feels like a world away. It’s everything you could want from a small Texas Hill Country town. Of course, the typical rustic Texas style wedding venues abound. But it’s a modern, minimalist venue perched on a hill that takes best advantage of the country charm.
Prospect House is an all white wedding venue with that features lots of room to create. Designed by Texas architect Max Levy, the building’s layed out in a long shotgun format. It features clean geometric lines and lots of windows for natural light. While the interior is all white, the exterior is shiny metal. There’s suites for getting ready, enclosed breezeway, and an air conditioned main hall.
The biggest draw for most is the outdoor landscape around Prospect House. It features native grasses, wildflowers, and Texas Red Oak tress. Of course, the well known white altar frame sculpture makes a great backdrop for the hilly views. It is an unbelievable setting for an outdoor wedding ceremony.
